Personal Statement Richard, And Rich s Continued...

I am writing this letter to you as I am very concerned about Richard not getting the counseling that he needs, Rich’s ongoing parental alienation with Richard, and Rich’s continued manipulation of the situation. Richard was not present at his first court-appointed therapist appointment yesterday. Rich called minutes before the appointment start time and told the counselor, Stephen Kavanagh L.M.H.C., that the bus was running late and rescheduled the 1:30pm weekly appointment to the following week at 2:30pm, which is a bi-weekly appointment, not a weekly appointment. Rich had previously agreed to weekly counseling appointments with Richard but unilaterally changed the weekly appointments to bi-weekly appointments at 2:30pm without any input or consideration of myself, when the appointments are supposed to be counseling to improve Richard and my relationship. I didn’t even know that the new appointment time was a bi-weekly appointment until we were having a meeting with Tracy Johnston and I inquired as to the reason that Rich did not have Richard at his first appointment for counseling. Our appointments with Tracy Johnston, our parenting coordinator, are also another appointment that Rich has not been attending. Rich has stated to Tracy Johnston and myself that he is too busy to have weekly appointments with her, therefore, Rich will only do bi-weekly appointments and he rarely attends even those appointments. Leadership in Thoughts from the Tao-te-Ching and The Qualities of a Prince Lao-Tzu’s â€Å"Thoughts from the Tao-te Ching† and Machiavelli’s â€Å"The Qualities of a Prince† both have the ultimate goal of making better leaders. The tactics that each writer chooses to present as a guide for the leader are almost opposite of each other. Today’s American government would benefit from a combination of the two extreme ideas. Lao-Tzu’s laissez-faire attitude towards the economy, as well as his small scale, home defense military is appealing to a liberal person. Machiavelli’s attitude towards miserliness and lower taxes, while being always prepared for war, would appeal to a conservative person. On the other hand, a leader should not be loved. Showing too much compassion will make the people think you are weak, and he would permit disorders to contin ue. Machiavelli urges the leader to always be personally armed, and preparing for war, even in peace time. The leader must continually train his body and mind for combat. He believes that people are fickle and greedy, so they will take whatever you give them. Ultimately, he believes the leader should do and say anything to keep the people happy, but when it comes down to it, what makes them happy may not be best for the state as a whole. An even mixture of both of these theories is the best for America. Something that our leaders in the United States in past years aimed for is middle of the road politics, appealing to both liberals and conservatives. Although I do not believe Machiavellis honesty policy would go over too well in the United States, I am sure his tactics are used by politicians in creating an appearance that people want to see. A good combination for our government today is for the president to not be personally armed, but have protection. He does not constantly train for war, but has an appointed official dedicated for that purpose. In the play Trifles, by Susan Glaspell, the plot develops through action. As soon as the play begins readers and viewers are introduced to the county attorney, the sheriff, and Mr. Hale. Due to the fact that these three men discuss the case and death of Mr. Wright quite a bit, the audience is made to believe that they are the main characters of the play. However; the true protagonists of the play are revealed as soon as the men departure from the kitchen and leave the characters Mrs. Peters and Mrs. Hales to themselves. When left alone in the kitchen, the two women find bread that had not been baked, pans thrown under the sink, and a towel that is half clean and half messy. The women also find a quilt that Mrs. Wright was working on, one†¦show more content†¦The making of quilt lets the audience know that Mrs. Wright was just an ordinary housewife who had domestic hobbies. It also acts as a metaphor for femininity and the power of women as the process of making a quilt was s imilar to the process Mrs. Hales and Mrs. Peters had to go through to discover the truth. In order to make a quilt, bits and pieces of fabric must be put together. In order to solve the crime, the women had to put bits and pieces of clues together. Because the process of making a quilt was similar to solving the crime the women did, it acted as a metaphor for the ability and power of women who were looked down upon. Lastly, the process of putting together a quilt was a metaphor for the judgment of Mrs. Wright. There were two ways the quilt could have been made; by knotting or by quilting. Knotting acted as a metaphor for Mrs. Wright’s guiltiness and quilting acted as a metaphor for her innocence. In the end the county attorney revealed that â€Å"she was not going to quilt it† and had Mrs. Hale remind him that what she was going to â€Å"knot it – Mr. Henderson†( Glaspell 880) to reveal that Mrs. Wright was in fact guilty for killing her husband. So, in the above statement the focus is given on the HR approaches by considering the Best fir model but it is seen that best fit approach has some limitations also. These approaches are not effective all the time as it can give negative impact at the time of implementing the change. When the changes are made in the company then it is seen that best fit approach is not useful so the company should give focus on balance score card so that proper evaluation can be made of the performance. Generally, Mangers job it is obvious that managerial communication is vital for each management function known to business. Managers perform the planning function; they collect information, analyze data, prepare memos, reports, and letters and then conduct meetings with other managers to discuss the plan. When managers work, they share their views to generalize a vision of what the organization can be and it also motivate employees to support achieve an entire organizational goal. On the other hand, when managers organize, they collect and analyze data and information about the state of the organization and communicate a organizational structure to others. By mean, managerial communication is the primary and fundamental parts of any organization. Communication is the exchange of information between two or more people or persons. Information includes facts, ideas, data, opinions, emotions etc. Basically, Communication is an intercourse by words, letters, symbols, messages, and communication is a way that the person shares meaning and understanding with another persons. In general terms, Communication is the process of conveying messages (facts, ideas, attitudes or opinions) by one person to another so that they can understand. Communication is a two way process.
